Do you do more than house cleaning?

Yes, we offer many types of services for residential and commercial spaces! We can take care of special projects such as defrosting the freezer, organizing the closet, helping with chores, and more! See our full list of cleaning services here

Can you help with event cleanup?

We can help set up and take down decorations and handle all of the clean up for events at your home or your business.

Do you offer move-in cleans?

Do you clean businesses?

Our business originated in the commercial sector, and we branched out to residential.  We are pleased to offer cleaning services for both your office or business and your home.

Do you clean the same stuff each time or do you rotate chores through the house?

For routine cleanings, we have a checklist of items that will be cleaned each time.  We do recommend that you schedule a deep cleaning periodically to keep your house in superior condition!

Do you do one-off cleanings, or do you only have weekly and biweekly clients?

We do offer one-time cleans, although most of our clients enjoy the reliability we provide with routine cleans! We can provide regularly scheduled cleanings, as well as special projects customized to suit your needs, as well as just one-time cleans.

Do you offer car detailing?

No, we leave car cleaning to the car detailing specialist!

Do you offer petsitting?

We don’t offer petsitting, but we can refer you to someone who does!

Do you clean windows?

We are happy to clean most windows from the inside.  Please contract with a window cleaning service for cleaning exterior side of windows, or ones that are out of reach.

Do you defrost freezers or clean out the fridge?

Yes, we are happy to defrost your freezer, clean out your fridge, or organize your cabinets. Learn more about add-on services and packages here. 

Do you do laundry?

Yes, we do offer daily or weekly laundry services and will be happy to make a special appointment for your laundry.  Laundry is not included in a regular clean, but we can customize a package that works for you. 

Do you do dishes or empty the dishwasher?

While dishes are not included in our standard routine cleans, we’re happy to build a custom package that works for you. Packages can include any chores from dishes to laundry to taking out the trash.

Will you clean my hot tub?

Yes, we are happy to clean out your hot tub as part of your custom package!

Do you price by the hour?

Yes, when you request a quote we will review the job, determine how many hours it will take,  how many busy bees are needed, and provide you with a price for the entire job.

Do you charge more for moving cleans than routine cleans?

Moving cleanings are a bit more costly, as they require a deeper cleaning and sanitzing with a crew that is specifically trained to handle these types of cleanings. For a custom quote, get in touch today!

Do you charge more for cleaning on holidays?

If the holiday is one where our bees are working, regular cleanings will not incur an extra charge.  Special projects will be quoted based on the specific job.  

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept credit cards, and can keep one on file in an encrypted folder for your convenience.

If I refer my friend, do I get a referral free or discounted cleaning?

We sincerely appreciate referrals and consider them our biggest compliment.  We try to do something special as a thank you!

Am I supposed to tip you for your service?

Tipping is not necessary at all, but as with any service, it is greatly appreciated.

If I forget to leave you a check, do you still do the work and let me pay you later or do you skip the cleaning?

Should you forget to leave a check, we will continue to do the cleaning.  However, we ask that you provide payment within 24 hours.   If no payment is received then we will stop all future schedule cleanings.

Do I pay you under the table or do you pay taxes?

We operate a responsible business and pay our taxes accordingly.

Andrea, are you the one cleaning for me?

Fortunately, I have a fabulous and dependable team of busy bees. While I might be the one cleaning for you, it could be another bee on the team. We do the best we can to pair you with a team member whose schedule coordinates with yours so you have the same bee cleaning regularly.

Are the people you bring with you bonded and insured?

Yes, all of our team members are bonded and insured!

What is your screening policy for people you hire?

We conduct a background check and require training for all new bees.  If you, or someone you know, are you interested in joining our team, we are always looking for more bees. 

Do you have references?

We are happy to provide references upon request.

What areas of Florida do you service?

850 Busy Bees is based in Destin, Florida, and we service a majority of the Emerald Coast with residential and commercial cleaning. Our service areas include – but are not limited to – Destin, Niceville, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach, 30a, Freeport, Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton, Mary Esther, and Navarre. For larger cleans, we may travel as far as Panama City Beach and Pensacola. Please submit your address of service when you request a quote, and we will gladly let you know if we’re able to travel to you. 

What hours do you work?

Office hours are 9am-6pm.  Commercial space cleaning is typically conducted after business hours.  If you require special times, such as clean up after a party, we discuss that during the quoting process.  

Do you clean on weekends?

Yes, there are some jobs that may require work on the weekends, such as short-term rentals, special projects, and commercial space cleaning. When we provide you with a quote, we’ll come up with a schedule that works for you.

If my regular cleaning falls on a holiday, will you be working?

Depending on the holiday, we may or may not provide services on that day.  We try to accommodate you during the holidays, but you will know well in advance if you need to make any schedule adjustments.  The Queen Bee believes in rest and family time, so she makes sure every busy bee on the team gets the personal time they need during holidays!

Do you show up on time?

Though delays may occur, punctuality is very important to us.  We do our best to arrive at the agreed upon time.

Do you set times to come back so I know when you are coming or is it random?

After we review your ongoing needs we will agree on a scheduled cleaning time that works best for you.

So that you know when to expect us, yes we try to arrive about the same time every time we are scheduled to clean.  

Do you have your own vacuum?

Yes, we will bring our own vacuum.

Do I need to provide my house key or alarm code?

We will need access to your home or office in the form of a key, entry code, alarm code, etc. during the time we’re scheduled to clean. We’re happy to work out a plan you’re most comfortable with.

How do you protect my privacy with that key or code?

Keys are maintained in a secure location, and codes are kept in encrypted files, and only shared with the bee that is cleaning for the day.

Do I need to be home when you come to clean or can I be at work?

No, we prefer you to be out enjoying your life while we take care of the cleaning so you can come home to a home that smiles at you.

I work from the house; will it bother you if I’m home the whole time?

This is your home and we are here to help.  You are perfectly fine continuing to do your work while we are there.  We will say hello hello and get right to work.  We are in cleaning mode so don’t get offended if we don’t chit-chat.  We do ask that you keep pets and children out of the way for their safety. 

If I’m working from home, are you going to chat the whole time or will you allow me to get my work done?

We are there to make sure your house is properly cleaned, and then get on our way.  So you don’t have to worry about us chit-chatting and interrupting your work time. 

How do you prefer to be contacted (email, phone or text)?

We prefer that you complete our intake form using the Request A Quote link, so we can set up a meeting.  Ongoing communication can be via any method you prefer, email, phone or text.

The safety, health, and wellbeing of our clients, our team, and the environment are essential to us.

Is it okay if my pets hang out in the same room as you clean?

It’s best if we have room to buzz around and not have a fur baby in our dust stream.  It’s safer for your pet too, so they don’t get into chemicals that could harm them.

Is it okay if my kids are in the same room as you cleaning?

For safety reasons, it’s best if children are not in the area that we are cleaning.

Are you bonded, insured, and certified?

Yes, we are fully bonded and insured. Our Queen Bee (the owner, Andrea) has several cleaning certifications, and we train every busy bee on our team to the same high standards. 

What type of cleaning chemicals do you use on hardwood floors?

We typically use a microfiber mop to clean hardwood floors.  If needed we also use a neutral Ph hardwood floor safe cleaner. 

What happens if a team member is sick?

In the unfortunate event that the bee who is scheduled for your cleaning is sick we will let you know.  We might have another bee clean in their place, or it’s possible that we may need to reschedule the cleaning.   We don’t want to spread any bad germs.  Your safety is our priority! 

What happens if someone in my household is sick?

Just as our team would never show up if they were sick, we ask that you contact us should you or someone in your house be unwell.  We will be happy to reschedule when everyone is feeling better.  

What happens if you break something while you are at my house?

We try very hard to handle your cleaning with care; however, accidents do happen. We will try to fix or replace whatever was broken. 

Are you going to tell my neighbors about me, my home, my habits and how messy my house is?

No way! Privacy is very important to us.  You will never know anyone else’s information nor will we share yours.

Do you use environmentally free chemicals?

Yes, for regular cleanings we use environmentally friendly products.  However, depending on what we are cleaning, there may be times when we need to use stronger chemicals to get the job done properly.

How do you know what type of chemicals to use on different surfaces?

I took a course and was certified on proper cleaning techniques.  Additionally, we do our research before using any chemicals. 

Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

Yes, we offer a guarantee.  Please contact us within 48 hours if you are not satisfied with our work.  We do ask that you take a picture of the issue so we can see what you are seeing when you report back to us, and understand your concern.
